What is the Active series?

The "Active" series expands the range of activities beyond the traditional TRAVEL SHOES, allowing you to keep walking confidently even on unexpectedly muddy or gravelly paths that are otherwise difficult to traverse. With a reassuringly thick sole, cushioned comfort, and reliable grip, it firmly supports your steps even on unstable footing.

While sneakers tend to be the go-to choice for days when you want to be active, this series is recommended as a new option.

A Carefully Designed Sole Structure

The outsole is made by Vibram, a sole manufacturer trusted deeply by numerous shoemakers. While other TRAVEL SHOES also use Vibram soles, the Active series adopts MEGAGRIP, known for its exceptional durability and grip.

It's a highly functional outsole that performs regardless of terrain—from dry, uneven mountain paths and gravel roads to ground made muddy by rain.

In addition, a distinctive feature is the shape known as traction lugs, said to increase forward-stepping power by up to 25% by firmly gripping the ground.

Meanwhile, the insole that directly touches the foot uses a special low-resilience urethane. The plush, cushiony feel that envelops the entire foot when worn is a far cry from what you'd typically expect from leather shoes.

Compared to the traditional TRAVEL SHOES, this insole gently absorbs pressure while walking, reducing impact. Additionally, a cushion pad has been added to the shoe tongue area, which touches the top of the foot, resulting in an even softer wearing experience.

The midsole uses a lightweight EVA sole, achieving both reduced weight and excellent cushioning.

With a solidly voluminous sole, the heel height is about 6cm. One advantage of shoes with a heel is that your feet stay drier even on rainy days.

Leather Shoes You Can Wear Even in the Rain

A defining feature of TRAVEL SHOES is water-resistant leather. By intertwining fluorine resin into the fibers during dyeing, both strength and water resistance are enhanced, while the surface is also given a waterproof treatment.

While repelling water, the material still allows air to pass through, maintaining breathability—solving the common frustration of humidity building up inside shoes on rainy days.
