How to Adjust Your Apple Watch Band

MACHTE's Apple Watch Band comes with a tool that lets you adjust the band length to fit your wrist. The adjustment process is fairly simple.

【What's Included】

▲The product comes with a tool for adjusting the band length, so you can easily adjust it yourself.

・Apple Watch band (band width: 2cm, length approx. 16cm)

・Adjustment tool
・Replacement connectors (42mm/44mm/45mm)
※The band comes fitted with the smaller size (38mm/40mm/41mm).

How to Adjust the Band

【STEP 1】

First, check which points on the band can be adjusted.

The band has a front and back side, with the brand logo placed in the center of the front (see the left end of the image above). If you look at the sides, you'll notice that each individual link has a small silver pin head visible. The pins run the same length as the links and connect the band link by link. By pushing the pin out in the same direction as the arrow marked on the back, you can remove that link.

【STEP 2】

Looking at the back of the band, you'll see arrows marked at the corners.

Please note that from the center (the black link with the logo) toward the top, the arrows point to the left, while toward the bottom, the arrows point to the right. By pushing out the pin at the point marked with the arrow, you can remove that link and adjust the length.

【STEP 3】

Set the band into the included tool and push out the pin.

Set the tool so that its pin faces the same direction as the arrow on the back of the band, then turn the dial on the tool to gradually bring the pin closer. Once the tool's pin aligns with the band's pin, keep turning the dial a few more times and you'll feel the tool's pin slide in smoothly. Since you need to remove the pins on both the top and bottom of a link, you'll need to repeat this pin-removal process twice.

※If you set the tool at the wrong spot, you'll end up making an unnecessary hole, so please work in a well-lit area, and if your eyesight isn't what it used to be, take your time and check your work with glasses or a magnifying glass.

※If you feel resistance while turning the dial to push out the pin, this may mean you're about to make a hole in the wrong spot, so please be careful.

※The direction of the arrows differs between the upper and lower sections of the band from the center point. Please be careful when setting the tool. Always remove the pin in the direction indicated by the respective arrow.

【STEP 4】

The removed pins also differ in shape between top and bottom, so check them carefully, then reattach the shortened band.

If you look closely at the end of the pin that comes out on the arrow side, you'll notice a small hollow (hole). The opposite end does not have this. When reinserting the pin, always make sure the end with the hollow (hole) ends up on the arrow side, so insert it from the opposite side first. Push in the hollow (hole) end last, making sure it lands on the arrow side. You can insert the pin by hand for most of the way, but for the last bit that sticks out, press it in using the tool or a hard tabletop to complete the setup.

※Please also check the front and back of the band before reattaching it. The side with more rounding is the front, while the back is flat.

How to Change the Connector

The band comes fitted with the smaller size connector (38mm/40mm/41mm), so please swap it for the replacement connector (42mm/44mm/45mm) that matches the size of your Apple Watch. You can check the case width by looking at the engraving on the back of your Apple Watch.

As with the band adjustment, you'll use the pin included with the tool to make the switch. Since the pin originally attached to the tool is the thinnest one, turn the dial to remove it from the tool before using it. The process is nearly identical to adjusting the band, though it does take a bit of a knack. That's what makes it so satisfying once you've got it set.

If you're unable to adjust the band yourself, please contact our customer support with your desired length, whether before or after delivery.
