Headbands and ribbons that we happily wore as children can feel like something to hesitate over once we're adults. Even so, the hair accessories from Jennifer Ouellette have a refined air that suits adult women perfectly.
Spring, before the UV rays become intense, is the season to enjoy head accessories other than hats. It's also a time full of ceremonies, when salon appointments tend to fill up quickly. Why not add headbands or ribbon hair ties to your options for an easy new spring hairstyle?
A chic velour headband that's easy to wear even for ceremonies like graduations and entrance ceremonies.
A hair tie with a velour ribbon has also arrived.
First, let us introduce the brand Jennifer Ouellette. It was founded by Jennifer Ouellette, a woman who studied at the London College of Fashion, a fashion college in the UK, and has since been active worldwide as a milliner.
Influenced by the design sense of her mother, who ran a vintage shop, and her father, who worked as an industrial designer, she studied and researched how hats are constructed, and in 1999, three years after founding the brand, she obtained her first utility patent related to headband structure. This allowed her to bring comfortable hair accessories to the world. Many of her items have a classic taste that seems inspired by pieces from her mother's vintage shop, making them designs that can be enjoyed for years to come.
One especially notable feature is that the items are carefully made by hand-sewing or machine-sewing without using any adhesive. Each hair accessory is crafted one by one.

The excellent fit achieved through her patented technology reflects the knowledge and skill she has gained as a milliner.
The headband is an item we especially want those who aren't confident with hair styling to try. That's because it has some very practical advantages.
1. Easy hair styling that covers unruly hair
The advantage of a headband is that it covers the hairline and area around the ears, where hair tends to be unruly, all at once. Even without an elaborate hairstyle like braiding, simply smoothing some hair oil into your hair and putting on the headband will give you a neat, tidy look.
2. Easy to wear even on formal occasions
paired with a jacket, or paired with a shirt.
While many hair accessories have a casual design, a classic headband can be worn even on formal occasions. The velour series introduced here is especially perfect for such occasions. Choose it for your dressed-up days too.
3. Your hairstyle stays in place
A hat needs to be taken off indoors, but a headband can be worn as is, whether indoors or outdoors. After wearing a hat, your hair sometimes doesn't settle the way you'd like, but with a headband you can keep the style you set that morning. And if you use styling product to keep the short hairs at your hairline in place, restyling becomes convenient and hassle-free.
Velour Headband VV56, Velour Hair Tie PY674
This series, with its beautiful velour sheen, is a material that especially suits adult women. It's a beautiful material that shimmers softly when it catches the light.
The Velour Headband VV56 holds your hair firmly in place while adding a touch of glamour. With its refined material quality and pleasing thickness, this headband naturally brings a lovely radiance to your face. It has a somewhat classic feel and pairs well with occasion styles like jackets or dresses.
It's also lovely paired deliberately with casual outfits, like a T-shirt or a border-pattern cut-and-sew top.
This is a hair tie with a motif already tied in a ribbon shape attached to the elastic. Even a simple ponytail or bun instantly looks more polished just by using this hair tie. Since the elastic is on the thicker side, it's easy to gather your hair, giving peace of mind even to those with a lot of hair.

The velour material, which can be used all year round, gives off a subtle shine depending on how the light hits it, creating an elegant look befitting a mature woman. It's a hair accessory that adapts flexibly to both casual and formal outfits.
A headband that lets you easily incorporate leopard print into your look. Made from a slightly napped material that retains a sense of refinement, it doesn't come across as too bold, making it a hair accessory that's easy for anyone to wear.
You can also twist it for a different arrangement.
Bringing a feminine touch to a headband that usually feels girly. It's a design that's easy for adults to wear in everyday life.

Jennifer Ouelletteoffers other headbands as well, so if you're not sure which to choose, try considering these points.
⚫︎ Choosing by headband width
Left: Headband NR12, Right: Grosgrain Headband GG44
The thinner the headband, the more it blends into your hair; the thicker it is, the more it becomes the focal point around your face. Aside from appearance, a thicker headband is also easier for keeping your hair in place, so if you value practicality, a thicker one is recommended.
⚫︎ Choosing by material

Materials with a sheen, like the velour series introduced here, create a dressier impression, so they're recommended if you want to wear one for special occasions. For everyday casual use, materials without shine tend to be easier to wear.
⚫︎ Choosing by color
Lastly, color. Choosing a shade close to your own hair color makes it easier for even a relatively wide headband to blend in naturally.

Choosing a color that contrasts with your hair color can create a nice accent. It's also a good idea to build a collection with variety in both shape and color.
