In the German region of Goslar,

which is why they came to be called "quiet footwear."
RONDONAUD is a brand that has continued making charentaises for over 100 years since 1907, based on its family trade as shoe repairers.


Built on the tradition of shoe repair craftsmen, it was born in 1907 in the Charente region of France as a luxury indoor footwear brand,
and later, in the early 1950s, James Rondinaud began exporting the shoes;
its craftsmanship was recognized even by luxury brands, and it became a shoe beloved around the world.

Dissolving a wool-specific detergent in lukewarm water below 30°C
and hand-washing (pressing gently) is the best way to remove dirt without damaging the fabric.
