MBT (Masai Barefoot Technology) is a brand that was born in 1996, created by a Swiss mechanical engineer. Mr. Müller, who suffered from severe knee and back pain, noticed one day that his pain eased after walking barefoot on soft soil. This led him to wonder if he could recreate that same sensation on hard asphalt, which brought his attention to the Maasai tribe, known for their natural walking style and beautiful posture. After several years of research, he developed a unique curved sole that creates a natural instability with each step. The name MBT encapsulates this origin story.
