Development that combines passion and technical ability

After graduating from university, Frenchman Sebastien Barrière entered the jewelry industry and has been involved in jewelry design and production in Europe and the United States for 20 years. During that time, he has repeatedly faced women who are not satisfied with the structure of their earrings. "Can't we make something more comfortable?" He discussed with his coworkers, came up with an idea, and made a prototype. The idea was a structure in which the post part bent into an L shape instead of a catch. He conducted research to put the structure to practical use, and eventually met RONDA, a Swiss company that specializes in the production of watch movements. RONDA realized mass production of T-shaped movements by making full use of the precision machine manufacturing technology and cutting machines that RONDA has cultivated over the years of very precise watch movements. They made and revised many prototypes to make a perfect product, changing the material of the post and the internal microballs, and making micro-size changes to each part. After a long development period, they created a product that they could confidently send out to the world. After eight years of research from conception, the world's first earrings without a catch were born. Baqless was launched in Basel, Switzerland at the end of 2018.
