Creating valuable things forever

Founded in 2004 in Stockholm, Sweden, SANDQVIST was founded by three childhood friends Anton, Daniel and Sebastian. They love Stockholm's wilderness and knew they needed a bag that could be used both in the city and in the woods. Combining convenient functions with stylish and minimalist design, environmentally friendly and sustainable manufacturing is what SANDQVIST values. In addition to using organic and recycled materials, we continue to build a system to realize sustainability in all manufacturing processes, with a unique method of creating a transparent supply chain, creating a fair work environment, and developing long-lasting products. Multifunctional tote bag

The tote bag RIVER HIKE has a slightly larger capacity of 14L, a size that is expressed in Swedish as "Lagom" (= just right). With a wide gusset, it can be used not only for A4 documents, but also for short trips. There is a zipper pocket on the inside that can hold keys and a smartphone, and the side pocket on the outside has a strap that can hold a water bottle, so the risk of accidentally dropping it seems to be reduced. The handle that can be adjusted to the length that suits you seems to represent "Lagom". If you are small, you may end up rubbing the ground when you hold the bag in your hand, so this little feature is great.

The fabric used for the tote bag is recycled nylon 420D MIPAN regen® ROBIC, which is resistant to tearing and abrasion. In addition, it has a water-resistant coating, so you don't have to worry about things inside the bag getting wet due to sudden rain, so you can use it without worrying about spending time in a place full of nature.

From the designer's creativity

Based in Stockholm, Sweden, SANDQVIST is a bag specialty brand founded in 2004 by Anton Sandqvist. They specialize in making stylish yet functional bags that will be loved on a daily basis for a long time, and are characterized by designs inspired by the great nature of Sweden. The goal is sustainable growth unique to Northern Europe, and the products we produce have stable performance.

The brand started when Anton wanted to express his own creativity, and practically started when the bag he sewed for himself was well received by those around him. At the beginning of the brand establishment, it was produced in Estonia, and the scale was very small, with about 100 pieces per year being distributed per model. It is said that all materials were purchased from Sweden, selected by Anton, and mailed to a former military garment factory in Estonia with pallet cargo. “I remember huge rolls of canvas and boxes with buckles overflowing my living room, basement and storage. I'm talking about the situation. After that, we moved the production background to India and have been producing innovative, functional, and stable quality bags to this day.
