Unique and surprising fabrics

WALLACE SEWELL is a London textile brand created by two textile designers, Harriet Wallace and Emma Sewell.

The two graduated from the Royal College of Arts, which is said to be the pinnacle of art and design universities. I am interested in woven fabrics, where colors are mixed using to control the feel and appearance of the fabric. After graduating, Harriet created creative compositions using loom weaving and created interior fabrics, while Emma was attracted to woven fabric compositions using shrinking and twisted threads and created fashion fabrics. In 1990, the two of them held their first solo exhibition together, presenting a modern and beautiful stole that combined geometric patterns intricately, attracting the attention of buyers including Barneys New York.

WALLACE SEWELL is strongly influenced by the Bauhaus, a comprehensive art school in Germany. Based on the philosophy of combining craft and industrial production with traditional British techniques, WALLACE SEWELL creates products that fuse color, graphics, and a wealth of knowledge about textiles. We have created unique combinations of complex colors that would be difficult to create with the common sense of ordinary textiles, and our unique colors and geometric patterns continue to attract fans around the world.
