YONETOMI NEW BASIC cashmere knit RIGID CASHMERE KNIT RAW is characterized by its hard and durable texture unlike cashmere sweaters. We use highly twisted cashmere yarn, which is not used in ordinary cashmere sweaters. For this reason, it is a sweater that "grows", although it feels a little stiff when you first wear it, but as you wear it and wash it, it gradually changes to a soft cashmere-like texture.

The silhouette is designed like a straight vintage sweatshirt by making use of the firm fabric. Under these circumstances, Yonetomi Seni Co., Ltd., founded in 1952, has continued to knit sweaters while honing its advanced knit textile development technology.

Everything from material development to product development and mass production is done consistently at our own factory in Yamanobe-cho.When we hear about new materials, we take the lead in incorporating them, actively working to create new products, and creating good products in a good environment. With the desire to have fun and bright production under the factory, we introduced the first knitting computer and have been developing various textiles on a daily basis. With a total of 43 fully automatic flat knitting machines, we boast the largest production system in Japan and one of the world's leading low-gauge production systems.

The founder repeated trial and error for two years to overturn the established theory that "knitwear can't be worn in summer", and it seems that he openly disclosed the manufacturing method of the summer sweater he created within the production area. The knitting industry, which was limited to winter and could only operate for half a year, is now able to operate all year round, bringing about a major change. Even now, he continues to search for ways to express himself without resting on history and tradition.
