A Shirt That Embraces the Breeze
The SETTO MIDDLE SHIRT Double Line Stripe is an oversized piece that offers a light and airy feel, making it a captivating choice. The smooth, soft texture of the broadcloth, combined with a subtle sheen, creates a casual yet luxurious atmosphere. Thanks to the supple and sturdy fabric, this oversized shirt maintains a clean silhouette without becoming too loose. The gathered detail at the back adds dimension and charm to your profile. The deep side slits allow for easy coordination with bottoms without clinging to your body shape. The volume around the shoulders is kept minimal, making it a great option for those who want to avoid broadening their appearance. It’s designed to be flattering and easy to wear for various body types.
The MIDDLE SHIRT features a base color with two thin white stripes running parallel, embodying the refreshing impression characteristic of SETTO shirts, while exuding a sophisticated vibe. It pairs excellently with slim pants, but it’s also recommended to style it casually with wide pants or skirts. Wearing it as a light outer layer adds a polished touch to your outfit. If you’re unsure about how to style oversized tops, try tucking it in slightly at the waist for a more defined look. This shirt will be a versatile addition to your wardrobe from spring to early autumn.
The Key to Fabric Creation is "Cotton"
SETTO, with its background as a fabric manufacturer, researches and develops blends of high-quality cotton from various countries. They spin original yarns tailored to the unique characteristics of cotton from around the world. The original yarns, which maximize the benefits of cotton, lead to a commitment to the textile's aging process and its presence.
Attention to detail is evident in the manufacturing process, where carefully selected cotton is spun into yarn, and the rotation speed of a machine part called a cam is adjusted in 0.1-second increments to create a rich and unique texture. Cotton is an agricultural product, and its quality can vary year by year, but efforts are made to fine-tune it to achieve a consistent quality.
Clothing That Becomes a Partner
SETTO continues to create comfortable clothing designed for long-term use. Launched in 2014 by Japan Blue Co., a textile manufacturer from Kojima, Okayama, known for supplying materials to brands both domestically and internationally.
Kojima, now referred to as the holy land of denim, was once an island in the Seto Inland Sea. The land, reclaimed from shallow waters, became a thriving area for cotton cultivation, which is more resilient to salinity than rice, leading to the development of the spinning industry. Since the pre-war period, as Western-style clothing began to gain popularity, the region produced student uniforms and jeans. After the war, Kojima became a representative production area for jeans, thriving through the American workwear and jeans booms. Japan Blue Co. has been continuously producing casual wear fabrics in Kojima, carrying on this rich history, and thus continues to create compelling and valuable clothing.
SETTO’s uniqueness lies in treating material development as part of design, focusing on yarn, fabric, color, and shape based on the know-how gained from textile planning and sales. They view clothing as a long-term partner, finding joy and excitement in the surprises and discoveries of everyday life, while continuing to create garments that prioritize essence.

Kurashiki and Kojima, also known as Denim holy land, are lands originally created by draining shallow water. As a result, cotton cultivation, which is more salty than rice production, is popular, and the spinning industry develops. I worked on jeans from before the war, and after the war, the work wear boom in the United States, and the jeans boom, became a representative production area of jeans.
The characteristic of SETTO is that the development of materials is also considered as design, and it is based on the know-how obtained in planning and sales of textiles, and it is stuck with yarn, fabric, color and shape. We regard clothes as a long-term partner and continue making clothes that value the essence while finding surprises, discoveries, and pleasures in our daily lives.
