The difference between BIWACOTTON and Takashima Chijimi lies in the twisting of the yarn. While Takashima Chijimi uses yarn twisted more tightly than usual, BIWACOTTON is twisted even closer to its limits, resulting in a drier texture. This tightly twisted yarn is then woven using an air-jet loom, a process that can be quite challenging. Due to the strong twist, the yarn often shrinks during weaving.
