Originally, we started as an OEM company that made clothes at the request of select shops, and then in the spring of 2007, we started making clothes under the name FilMelange, which is the trigger for the birth of this brand.

Focusing on natural materials such as organic cotton, we specialize in the development and sales of textiles, from thread development to fabrics, and the creation of cut-and-sew garments. The textiles created without straining the threads or impairing the texture have gained a good reputation.

The brand name FilMelange is a coined word that means "mixed color (Melange) thread (Fil)". It means beautifully mixed colors, like the heathered pattern on an old-fashioned T-shirt or sweatshirt. Based on the premise of using carefully selected natural materials, we conduct thorough in-house development from the selection of raw material "cotton" to "thread", "fabric" and "sewing". In addition to being comfortable to wear, we actively use organic materials in consideration of the environment. We place absolute trust in excellent Japanese craftsmen who value careful work, and we are particular about making products in Japan in order to pass down their skills.
