Manufacturing that continues to be close to the local Sedbergh

Established in 1985 on the site of an old textile factory called "Farfield Mill" in Sedbergh, England, the company started as a subcontractor manufacturing factory for outdoor wear and underwear and intermediate wear for the British military. Around the 1990s, we started a children's clothing line called ``Tough Customer'' using original fleece fabric produced in collaboration with a local fabric manufacturer. Currently, while producing original fleece products, we also make gardening aprons and special jackets for the National Trust, a volunteer organization that protects history and nature.

Nowadays, many brands switch to production in other countries to cut costs and for various reasons. As a British citizen, Farfield takes responsibility and pride in British-made products, and in order to contribute to the local community of Sedbergh, where our workshop is located, we continue to focus on British production. We started with the concept of creating clothes that are comfortable for living in Sedbergh by using local animals, insects, and things that are closely related to daily life in the design, but the excellent design and functionality of the clothes have become popular with people all over the world. It caught my attention and is now well known as a manufacturer specializing in fleece. Since the factory operates mainly during the winter season, it is not mass-produced, and each item is sent out into the world with care.
