Fuji that is used comes from rain and snow that falls on the mountain, soaks into the ground, and is filtered over a long period of time. The dyes are very colorful because there are few substances that can cloud the dyes.

There are two colors, BLACKWATCH and WHITE, and each comes with a different handle. BLACKWATCH combines wood and dead stock acrylic handle, while WHITE has a bamboo handle with knotted accents. Both look great with classic tartan. This umbrella is beautiful not only when opened, but also when closed.

The fabric is made of 100% polyester, which is quick-drying and wrinkle-resistant, so it doesn't take long for the umbrella to dry, which means the umbrella will last a long time. It has 8 bones and is made of durable fiberglass and aluminum material. Made with sturdy fabric and bones, you can use it for a long time.

Makita Shoten was founded in 1866 and began selling silk fabrics to Osaka, Kyoto, and Tokyo.
Since 1955, with the spread of chemical fibers, we have established our name as a major production base for yarn-dyed umbrella fabrics, making use of the technology we have cultivated in yarn-dyed fabrics.
Makita Shoten is also responsible for making fabrics for Maehara Mitsue Shoten, a long-established umbrella manufacturer. Fabric manufacturing and craftsmanship with a 150-year history dating back to the Edo period shine.

The main feature of Makita Shoten's parasols is that they are ``umbrellas made by a textile shop.'' The parasols are all original, from fabric design to weaving to manufacturing.
Makita Shoten's umbrellas have continued to evolve with the times by acquiring technology from overseas and introducing new equipment while preserving the spirit of manufacturing that has continued since ancient times. By using an electronic jacquard loom that allows you to design without restrictions and weave free and bold patterns, you can create umbrellas woven with various patterns using the warp as a canvas and the weft as paint.

Makita Shoten's umbrellas are carefully made one by one using the elegant Koshu weaving, with a focus on domestic production, although approximately 90% of the domestic market is made from overseas products.
