The raw material is Belgian linen, which is said to be the best of all linens. Hemp grown in Belgium, a country blessed with rich soil, good quality water, and a cool climate, is soft, supple, and has an elegant luster. The thin, silky knit fabric gently hugs your skin, keeping you cool and comfortable even on humid days. The light, sheer material is perfect for spring and summer.

Available in four colors. In addition to the classic off-white, navy, and black colors that go with any outfit, there are four soft grays dyed using the traditional pine soot dyeing technique. The use of smoked pine as a dye creates a natural unevenness and a deep look.

A unique atmosphere created by our own hands

The brand's predecessor was a boutique that started in 1978. Originally, the company started out as a store selling purchased clothes, but in 1983 they changed their policy to manufacture all of their products in-house, built a factory behind the store, and launched the brand "FACTORY" to develop original clothing.

The brand started with just one sewing machine, and as more and more people joined, they continued to make clothes that fit the customer's body. In 1990, they wanted to make more original products, so they went overseas in search of materials and established a dyeing studio. Although they were small, they continued to make clothes with a particular attention to detail, and the current form of creation was born, where they handle all of the planning, material development, manufacturing, and production themselves.

All of FACTORY's design patterns are created in a design atelier in Tokyo. Staff members who have gained experience in collection brands and have practiced pattern making create all of the shapes using three-dimensional cutting, and by repeatedly sewing samples, they create one-of-a-kind clothes that are "comfortable to wear without being bound by trends" and "simple, but a little unique." The clothes are then made based on the patterns they have created at their own factory in Ashikaga, Tochigi Prefecture. Not only is cutting and sewing done, but the company also has an attached dyeing factory where they dye the products and raw materials. This manufacturing style is so consistent that it even reflects the atmosphere of Ashikaga, a place that has a long history of textile manufacturing, in the clothes.
