Even on snowy days or in the biting wind.
Created by the Norwegian factory NORLENDER, which knows how to live well through the cold, these knit socks are more than just winter wear — they bring a sense of comfort and warmth the moment you slip them on.
With traditional Nordic patterns passed down through generations and a soft, carefully knitted wool texture, these socks are not only practical daily essentials but also carry a gentle touch that warms both body and heart.
Worn day after day, they become a quiet reminder of warmth and care — a perfect treat for yourself or a thoughtful gift for someone special. Each pair shares the gentle spirit of a Norwegian winter, crafted by hand to bring lasting comfort.
Timeless Norwegian Design for Everyday Life
The first thing that catches your eye is the design. The geometric snowflake and floral motifs are based on the Selbu pattern — one of Norway’s most iconic Nordic designs. Originating in the 19th century in the small village of Selbu in the Trøndelag region of central Norway, the pattern has become known as “a symbol of the Norwegian winter.”
Available in three colors: BLUE, reminiscent of quietly falling snow; BLACK, like the deep shadows of a winter forest; and RED, inspired by the warm glow of lights shining through Norwegian windows. Each shade reflects the beauty and simplicity of Nordic life.
Warmth Born in a Land of Cold
Knitted from 100% pure wool, NORLENDER’s socks are made by skilled artisans using time-honored techniques. The naturally airy fibers trap warmth, shielding your feet from the cold while maintaining a soft, breathable comfort on the inside.
Light in weight yet remarkably warm, these socks embody the wisdom of those who have long endured Norway’s harsh winters — reliable companions for the coldest months.
A Heritage Knit Factory Weaving Norway’s Nature and Tradition
Founded in 1927 on the island of Osterøy in western Norway, NORLENDER is a family-run knitwear factory with a history spanning more than 90 years. What began with a single knitting machine by founder Ola Tveiten has grown into one of Norway’s few remaining textile producers.
After starting as a small workshop, the company expanded into full-scale knitwear production after World War II. In 1989, it was reestablished as the brand NORLENDER, blending traditional Nordic patterns with modern design sensibilities.
Today, every stage of production — from spinning Norwegian wool to knitting and finishing — takes place entirely within Norway. In its fjordside factory, NORLENDER continues to preserve time-honored craftsmanship, weaving the beauty of Norway’s landscapes and culture into each piece it creates.

NORLENDER is a family-run knitwear factory that was founded in 1927 on the western Norwegian island of Osterøy. The manufacturing that founder Ola Tveiten started with a single knitting machine has been a part of the lives of the Norwegian people for over 90 years. Now, as one of the few textile factories still standing in Norway, NORLENDER produces everything domestically, from raw materials to finishing. Norwegian wool is spun domestically, and knitted and sewn in the company's own factory overlooking the fjords. Cherishing the intricate knitting techniques of skilled craftsmen and the beauty of traditional patterns and details, NORLENDER continues to create products that convey the scenery and culture of good old Norway to the present day.
