While the previous TRAVEL SHOES series featured functional soles designed for city walking, this line expands the range of movement, allowing you to walk confidently on unexpected muddy, gravel-filled, and other difficult terrain.

We'd like to introduce the TRA-030 BLWH side-gore boots from the Active series. These boots combine the easy-to-slip comfort of side-gore boots with the elegance of leather boots. While not quite as durable as full-fledged hiking boots, their excellent grip and water resistance make them a great choice for trips that combine city walking with trekking. This highly functional series is perfect for unfamiliar terrain.

Elegant and Reliable

The TRA-030 BLWH side-gore boots are perfect for any weather or outfit. Despite being leather, they're water-resistant thanks to the leather's processing. A fluororesin is woven into the fibers during the dyeing process, increasing strength and waterproofing. The leather is also treated with a waterproof surface for softness. While repelling water, they allow air to pass through for breathability.

Rain protection extends beyond the upper to the sole. The sole is made with MEGAGRIP from Vibram, a sole manufacturer trusted by numerous shoemakers. Vibram soles are made of rubber, developed from hiking boots designed to withstand harsh environments. MEGAGRIP, in particular, boasts the highest level of durability and grip among Vibram products. The boots also feature traction lugs, which are said to firmly plant their feet on the ground and increase forward momentum by up to 25%, providing excellent grip even on wet roads and uneven gravel surfaces.

The brand was founded by designer and owner Yoichi Maeda. Influenced by his father, a custom shoemaker, he developed a passion for shoemaking from a young age and began working in the shoe industry. After working in various jobs related to delivering shoes to people, he became involved in planning and learned about shoemaking. These experiences led to the creation of the shoe manufacturer chausser. The brand name means "to wear" in French. With one store in Ebisu, Tokyo, the brand operates in seven countries around the world. Its goal is to create timeless, timeless shoes that people will want to wear when they see them in a thrift store 30 years from now. It also aims to create shoes that, with proper care, can be worn for 30 years. With this in mind, it strives to create shoes that people will want to wear forever.
