Kojima canvas and flat rubber for a comfortable fit

The fabric is made of Kojima canvas woven in Kurashiki, Okayama Prefecture, known for its denim production. By carefully selecting the twist of the thread and the number of warp threads, the fabric is finished to an ideal thickness that is both durable and soft. In addition, the instep is made of flat rubber made in Japan, which is designed to gently wrap around the foot. The balance between the feeling of support when walking and the ease of putting on and taking off is exquisite.

Sneakers made using the vulcanized method combine the flexibility and durability of the sole. This method, which applies heat and pressure to raw rubber to mold it, is an essential technique for PRAS shoes. The upper and sole are firmly attached to each other, making the sole less likely to peel off and less likely to lose its shape. During this "vulcanization" process, the sole and upper (the main body of the shoe) are bonded together, and the parts made of different materials, such as the canvas body and rubber sole, are integrated. The rubber of sneakers made over a long period of time using the vulcanized method regains its original properties of returning to its original shape even after stretching, bouncing and bending flexibly, resulting in a sneaker that fits the foot very well and is less likely to come off.
