Tsuyumi was founded in 2004 in New York by Japanese designer Ms. Iizuka. After working as a fashion designer in Japan, she relocated to New York for family reasons and rekindled her creative path through hat-making. Her work quickly gained attention among design-conscious individuals, and the brand was born.

Upon returning to Japan, she began designing clothing in earnest. Each piece is produced in small batches, never mass-produced, and is thoughtfully designed to “look stylish simply by putting it on.” Every item reflects the designer’s experience and craftsmanship—featuring hand-sewn elements, refined pattern-making, and special sewing techniques—resulting in garments that are made to be cherished for the long term.
