This time, ZUTTO commissioned REN to create a special edition bag aimed at "enhancing the wearer's poise." It retains the excellent design of the original Square Duffle Bag XS, but features a specially extended handle.

The longer handles not only make it easier to access your belongings while wearing it over your shoulder, but also create a clean line when slung across, naturally improving your posture. It strikes a balance that fulfills both visual beauty and practicality.

Design that highlights leather's characteristics

The Square Duffle Bag XS features a square, wide base gusset that creates a three-dimensional silhouette. Despite its XS size, its square shape offers more capacity than meets the eye. It comfortably holds a long wallet, A5-sized notebook, and even a tablet, providing ample space for daily use. It's also interesting how its impression changes with its contents: when packed, its square shape stands out; when light, it flattens into a slim silhouette for carrying. The handles feature a slender, delicate design contrasting with the sturdy body. For this version, we extended the handle length by 17cm from the base Square Duffle Bag model. This generous length allows you to access your belongings smoothly while keeping the bag slung over your shoulder, even under a thick coat.

REN's popularity stems from its practicality. The double zipper opens from either side, letting you close it at the most comfortable position based on how you carry it. The zipper extends deep into the bag, creating a wide opening that reveals its contents at a glance. Inside, a single pocket holds small items like keys or passes, ensuring essentials are always accessible.

Premium Pigskin, HALLIE / Harry

【HALLIE (Harry)】 is REN's original natural pigskin, crafted to showcase the inherent character of the leather. It features a matte texture, soft feel, and natural color tones reminiscent of watercolor painting. Scratches and color variations are proof of its natural origin. We deliberately avoid hiding these characteristics with coatings, instead valuing the raw texture in the finish.

Traditionally, pigskin is prone to marks and color variations, making it widely used as lining material for high-end bags and shoes. However, REN recognized its potential: lightweight yet dense for durability even in thin cuts, excellent breathability, and a fabric-like suppleness. This led us to develop our unique original pigskin—not just a lining, but a main material with its own distinctive character. REN embraces the natural marks and color variations inherent to the leather as part of its character, using it as is. The patina and suppleness that develop on the leather surface with use, along with the way the leather changes over time for each individual owner, are qualities we invite you to enjoy.
