When did our admiration for cashmere begin?
Perhaps it was when we realized that its luxury and delicacy make it a refined indulgence for adults. As we grow older, our sense for choosing “what we truly love” and “what truly suits us” becomes more polished, and at the same time, we begin to recognize the things we truly want to own. Cashmere is one of those items that feels right to reach for at that stage of life.

This time, we would like to introduce the Mongolian Cashmere Light Scarf, an entry piece from our Mongolian Cashmere Series.

Everyday Luxury

Although cashmere may seem too delicate for everyday wear, we believe that wrapping yourself in cashmere not only on special occasions but also on ordinary days brings a sense of true luxury. With that in mind, we created this light scarf to be a piece you can reach for daily.

The scarf is a simple design measuring 29 cm by 175 cm, shaped to be unisex and easy to pair with any outfit. The softly curled edges create a natural sense of movement when wrapped.
In recent winters, temperatures have varied greatly, and many people switch among short coats, long coats, wool, cashmere, or down. This scarf has the size and volume that pair effortlessly with any outerwear.

Made from irresistibly soft and high-quality cashmere, it is completely free of itchiness. It allows you to feel the essence of our Mongolian Cashmere Series directly on your skin. Delicate though it may be, it’s the kind of scarf you would want someone special to be wrapped in.

A Material with Natural Functional Beauty

Why is cashmere considered such a precious material?
Cashmere comes from the soft undercoat of cashmere goats living in harsh mountainous regions such as Mongolia, China, and Iran, where summers and winters have extreme temperature differences.
To survive winters as cold as –30°C, the goats grow coarse outer hair that protects the long, fine, and exceptionally soft undercoat beneath. This undercoat is collected only during the spring molting season by gentle combing, and each goat provides only 150–200 g of usable fiber.
Due to this rarity, cashmere is known as the “jewel of fibers,” but its true appeal lies in several exceptional qualities:

Its fibers are extremely fine, making it gentle on the skin.
Cashmere fibers measure about 14–16 microns, compared to 25–30 microns for most wool. The finer the fiber, the more micro-layers are created, trapping air and providing excellent insulation while remaining light and thin.

Mongolian cashmere fibers are long—over 40 mm on average—6–8 mm longer than typical cashmere.
Longer fibers create a smoother surface with a refined sheen, resist shedding, and are less prone to pilling, keeping the product beautiful for longer.
Longer fibers also reduce waste during production, helping keep final prices reasonable.

They have a natural sheen and silky smoothness.
Natural oils coating the fibers create cashmere’s signature smooth texture. It is highly absorbent and retains warmth exceptionally well.

In addition, cashmere's natural elasticity provides softness, drape, and strong resilience. With proper care and rest between wears, cashmere maintains its shape and can be cherished for many years.

Cashmere Born from Mongolia’s Nomadic Traditions

For Mongolia’s nomadic families, cashmere goats live alongside them and move with them like members of the family. Protecting traditional nomadic lifestyles is essential for raising goats in a low-stress environment.
Through a meaningful connection, we were able to create knitwear using Mongolian cashmere.
The fibers are purchased directly from herder families and knitted in a Mongolian factory that is a member of the Sustainable Fibre Alliance (SFA)—an organization promoting sustainable cashmere production in Mongolia and China.

This alliance monitors sustainability and traceability, works to reduce environmental impact from herding and manufacturing, promotes animal welfare, ensures fair employment and working conditions, prevents child labor, and protects traditional local communities.
