Fill HOLMEGAARD's bottle and biscuit jar with cookies and candy, place them on your table, and they'll add a special touch to your winter moments. These items are produced exclusively for Christmas each year. The sides of the containers feature motifs like wreaths, ribbons, and couples holding hands, creating a gentle atmosphere that brings a sense of calm just by looking at them. Even if you don't have space for a Christmas tree, placing just one of these jars adds a soft Christmas mood to your room.
Enjoyable year-round
These bottles and biscuit jars are produced annually as Christmas limited editions. Each item features different illustrations on every surface, delighting the viewer. While they include Christmas motifs like wreaths and presents, the design avoids being overly festive, making you want to keep them displayed even after the season passes.
True to HOLMEGAARD glassware, these are delicate yet practical items. The bottle features a cork stopper with a brass handle. It's perfect for drinks, of course, but also makes a lovely single-flower vase. The biscuit jar also has a brass lid. Its wide opening makes it easy to get things in and out, so you can use it for sweets or small items.
The design changes every year, making it a popular collector's item. It's also perfect as a gift for family and friends. Fill it with sweets to give it a handmade warmth that will make it a special gift they'll love.
The History of HOLMEGAARD
HOLMEGAARD was founded in 1823. At a time when green-colored glass tumblers were the norm, Queen Henriette requested that transparent ones be produced. Working with Bohemian glass artisans, transparent glass tumblers and wine glasses were created. Since then, many artists have worked on HOLMEGAARD pieces, and the company now produces about 50 types of specialty glasses while cherishing the smoothness of glass. HOLMEGAARD has become a purveyor to the royal family due to its high quality and is also a destination for Danish artists active around the world.
Artistic Glassware
HOLMEGAARD, Denmark's oldest glassmaker, continues traditional glassblowing production by skilled artisans while creating high-quality, artistic glassware. Among its diverse lineup, the wine glasses are considered synonymous with HOLMEGAARD, designed by Denmark's renowned designer Arne Jacobsen. Created for the Royal Hotel's guest rooms, these glasses are also the only glassware designed by Jacobsen.
While simple, minimalist designs abound today, true beauty is rarely found in mere subtraction. HOLMEGAARD's products possess such exceptional design that they enhance the very space they occupy, continuing to captivate enthusiasts.
HOLMEGAARD glassware is recognized by museums worldwide.
It's not overly expensive, offering quality suitable for daily use—a key reason for its enduring popularity. Products from this historic brand possess a presence that enriches everyday life, making them ideal as wedding gifts, housewarming presents, or special occasion gifts.
