WALLACE SEWELL is a London-based textile brand founded by Harriet Wallace and Emma Sewell, two textile designers.

After studying art at the Royal College of Art, widely regarded as the pinnacle of art and design education, the two developed a fascination with weaving. During their studies, they discovered that weaving allowed them to create patterns and compositions like paintings, using threads and fibers instead of paint to blend colors and control the feel and appearance of the fabric. After graduation, Harriet created interior fabrics featuring original compositions achieved through weaving techniques, while Emma, drawn to weaving compositions using contracting and twisted yarns, produced fabrics for fashion. At their first joint solo exhibition in 1990, they presented modern, beautiful stoles featuring intricately combined geometric patterns, attracting attention from buyers including Barneys New York.
