After studying art at the Royal College of Art, widely regarded as the pinnacle of art and design education, the two developed a fascination with weaving. During their studies, they discovered how weaving allowed them to create patterns and compositions like paintings, using thread and fiber instead of paint to blend colors and control the feel and appearance of the fabric. After graduation, Harriet created interior fabrics featuring original compositions achieved through weaving techniques, while Emma, drawn to weaving compositions using shrinkable and twisted yarns, produced fabrics for fashion.
