It began as a modest business with three flat knitting machines in a room measuring eight tatami mats.

The founder, Mitsugu Tanabe, had a passion for American baseball. Initially, the production was limited to stockings, but as a baseball enthusiast, he later expanded into manufacturing uniforms and gloves. By the time of the 1964 Tokyo Olympics, the company had grown to provide training wear for the Japanese team. This passion continues to be reflected in their current craftsmanship.

The sewing factory of Jackman, which has continued for over 60 years since the era of Tanabe Bokushou Seisakusho, utilizes not only modern sewing machines but also specialized machines like Union Special and REECE, which are continually repaired in the factory's maintenance room.
