The dimensions are just right, about the size of both hands spread out. While it has no gusset, it can hold your wallet, smartphone, mini bottle, and planner. When you pull the cord, it transforms into a drawstring shape, changing the overall vibe of the bag.

【STILL】 is an original goat skin from REN, emphasizing a soft texture. It is pliable yet has a high fiber density, providing a good balance of firmness and resilience. The natural sheen and small, unique grain patterns are also appealing features. The surface is resistant to friction and scratches, and when made into a bag, it maintains its shape even when carrying heavy items. The characteristics of high-density goat skin are evident in the product's structure.

This texture is achieved by carefully selecting the best base leather. Even when selecting for firmness, thickness, and uniform grain, the tanning process may not always yield the desired results, showcasing the beauty that comes from experienced craftsmanship.

Creating a New Standard

Located in Kuramae, Tokyo, REN values a consistent concept by having the designer personally handle material selection, pattern making, and prototype production. With the intention of creating a new standard, the brand was launched in 2005 under a name that embodies a clear, transparent resonance, not bound by existing terminology. The natural imperfections of leather, such as scars, color variations, and wrinkles, are embraced as evidence of genuine leather, ensuring that these aspects are not wasted in the production process. The products are finished without glossing or pigment application, allowing you to fully appreciate the authentic texture of the leather.

By discerning the properties of materials, REN pursues textures that match clothing and forms that fit the body, offering simple designs that are not swayed by trends. The natural feel, while highlighting the inherent qualities of leather, also possesses a fashionable, relaxed atmosphere that is truly appealing.

- Since we dye with minimal dye, there may be slight individual differences in the color of the leather.
- If the bag gets wet from rain or sweat, or if it is worn with clothing made of denim, indigo dye, or cotton, there is a possibility that the color from the clothing may transfer to the leather due to friction. Please note that, due to the nature of the material, it is not possible to completely remove any color that has transferred.
- Please store the leather in a well-ventilated area, as high humidity can cause mold and alter the leather.
- Leather has its own unique smell. Many people may find that brand new leather products have a strong odor. To help reduce the smell, you can take the bag out of the pouch and let it air out in a well-ventilated, shaded area; the smell will gradually begin to fade after about 10 days. (The strength of the smell and the time it takes to dissipate may vary depending on the color number and the amount of dye used.)

How to care

- To prevent rain and dirt from penetrating, we recommend applying a leather-specific waterproof spray before use.
- Due to the nature of the natural finish leather, it is prone to absorbing moisture and oils. To avoid potential staining, please refrain from using oil-based products (such as mink oil) or creams.

Based on the intention of creating a new standard, the brand name is REN, a clear, transparent sound that is not an established word that expresses a particular commitment or a view of the world. In an atelier in front of the storehouse in Tokyo, the designer performs all of material selection, pattern making and prototype production, and pursues a design that matches clothes while making use of the texture and touch of leather. The concept is "not to be aware of what you have or not to claim existence". Easy-to-use design that emphasizes familiarity when holding it from the shoulder and silhouette when holding it from the shoulder, simplicity not influenced by the trend, and leather texture that increase the taste so easy to use regardless of the season is attractive.
