A Unique Atmosphere Created by Our Own Hands

The brand's origins trace back to a boutique that started in 1978. Initially a store selling purchased clothing, it shifted its focus in 1983 to manufacturing all its products in-house, establishing the brand "FACTORY" with a factory built behind the store to develop original wear.

Starting from a single sewing machine, the brand grew as more members joined, and in 1990, as they continued to create clothing tailored to customers' bodies, they began seeking materials overseas to pursue more originality, eventually establishing a dyeing workshop. Continuing to create garments with a commitment to quality, they developed a creative process that encompasses planning, material development, manufacturing, and production all in-house.

All design patterns for FACTORY are created in a design studio in Tokyo. Staff with experience in collection brands and practical pattern-making create shapes using three-dimensional cutting, and through multiple rounds of sample sewing, they produce unique garments that are "not bound by trends and comfortable to wear," and "simple yet a little unique." Based on the patterns created, the clothing is produced at their own factory located in Ashikaga City, Tochigi Prefecture. They take pride in their meticulous approach, handling not only cutting and sewing but also dyeing processes for products and raw materials in their attached dyeing factory. This dedication to craftsmanship reflects the historical textile manufacturing heritage of Ashikaga, creating a style of production that embodies the essence of the region.
