A unique atmosphere created by our own hands

The brand's origins trace back to a boutique that started in 1978. Initially, it was a store selling purchased clothing, but by 1983, it shifted to a policy of manufacturing all products in-house, establishing the brand "FACTORY" with a factory built behind the store to develop original wear.

Starting from a single sewing machine, the brand grew with each new member joining, and in 1990, as they continued to create clothing tailored to customers' bodies, they began seeking materials overseas to pursue more originality, even establishing a dyeing workshop. Continuing to produce carefully crafted clothing on a small scale, they developed a creation model where they handle all aspects of planning, material development, manufacturing, and production themselves.

All design patterns for FACTORY are created in a design studio in Tokyo. Staff with experience in collection brands and practical pattern making create shapes through three-dimensional cutting, and after numerous sample sewings, they produce unique clothing that is "not bound by trends and feels good to wear" and "simple yet a bit unique." Based on these generated patterns, clothing is produced at their own factory located in Ashikaga City, Tochigi Prefecture. They take pride in not only cutting and sewing but also in dyeing both products and raw materials at their in-house dyeing factory. This dedication reflects the atmosphere of Ashikaga, a region historically skilled in textile manufacturing, creating a style of craftsmanship that is truly distinctive.
