Premium Shetland Wool

The gloves are made from local Scottish lamb Shetland wool. This wool comes from sheep raised in the Shetland Islands, located in the north of Scotland, where they endure harsh winters and high humidity, resulting in water-resistant and soft fibers. The wool has a certain firmness and sheen, providing exceptional warmth and comfort.

Rather than a loose knit, the fabric is tightly woven, allowing the pattern to stand out beautifully while minimizing wind penetration, giving a warm impression.

ROBERT MACKIE was established in 1845 in the town of Stewarton, located in Ayrshire, Scotland. Stewarton has been known as the "Bonnet Town" for over 400 years due to its tradition of bonnet-making. ROBERT MACKIE started as a bonnet manufacturer and has evolved over the years into a producer of wool products such as knit caps, scarves, and gloves, utilizing the hat-making skills developed over a long history. With a combination of highly skilled traditional techniques and modern equipment, they can produce a diverse range of products in various styles and colors. All products are still made in their own factory in Stewarton, and in addition to their original collection, they are known for their high quality, producing items for renowned brands in Europe and America.
