The filling is made from recycled polyester, providing a fluffy volume while maintaining a manageable lightness. When it comes to drying or washing, heavy down comforters can be quite a hassle, but this futon is relatively easy to carry. The comforter offers a warm, enveloping sensation without feeling heavy, making it suitable even for those who find it difficult to turn over in a heavy futon. The mattress is firm and supports the body well.

SaFo, named after the word “saho” meaning etiquette, is an organic cotton textile brand. Its parent company is a futon manufacturing company founded in Kochi Prefecture in 1988. The brand started with the desire to deliver safe and secure products, rooted in the founder's experience with their child's illness. When their child was six years old, they were rushed to the hospital due to asthma caused by allergies, and after a life-threatening situation, the founder began developing futons that would allow those suffering from allergies or with weak bodies to sleep peacefully.

SaFo consistently produces everything in-house, from hand-picking organic cotton to processing, shaping, and sewing. They do not use harmful chemical agents, and they have obtained the international organic certification "Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS)" from the global certification body ECOCERT.
