Designers Naomi Suwa and Mikako Kanaya have both been involved in the Japanese knitwear industry for many years. "When I wanted to work on shaping the clothing itself, I found that being a knit designer allowed me to select materials and yarns for planning. Even a seemingly ordinary shape can take form simply by changing one’s awareness and perspective, which is the essence of knit planning. The ability to touch the wearer's senses, whether through ease of wear or comfort, is one of the greatest joys of being a designer," they shared.
