C.T.plage, launched in 2007, is a knitwear brand with the concept of "casual yet impactful knits." Within its simple, everyday designs, it adds unique nuances to the silhouettes. The knits are crafted with consideration for care, ensuring they can be hand-washed as much as possible, resulting in a very pleasant texture. The meticulous attention to detail, characteristic of Japanese women, is reflected in the knit products, which have successfully gained fans even in Europe, where established knit brands abound.

Designers Naomi Suwa and Mikako Kanaya are both women who have been involved in planning within the Japanese knit industry for many years. "When I thought about wanting to work on shaping the garment itself, becoming a knit designer allowed me to select materials and yarns for planning. I find it very enjoyable to see a person's ideas reflected in the product throughout the process from a single thread to a finished item. Even a seemingly ordinary shape can take form simply by changing one's awareness and perspective, which is the essence of knit planning. Touching on ease of wear and comfort, and engaging the wearer's senses is one of the greatest joys of being a designer."

The two designers, who shared these thoughts, pursue not only design but also the essence of the product, engaging in a wide range of tasks such as utilizing the characteristics of materials for patterns and production processes, as well as developing original materials, achieving designs that are simple yet exceptionally comfortable to wear.
