This jacket is made from 100% baby camel wool. The wool comes from camels living in the Gobi Desert of Mongolia, specifically from their fur during the first six months of life. Rich in natural oils, it boasts a plump and supple texture. By knitting this yarn using a smooth technique, the fabric becomes dense, providing just the right thickness and stability. While maintaining the light and comfortable feel characteristic of knitwear, it has the presence of an outer garment.

Creating a Unique Atmosphere with Your Own Hands

The brand's origins trace back to a boutique that started in 1978. Initially, it sold purchased clothing, but by 1983, it shifted to a policy of manufacturing all its products in-house, establishing a factory behind the store and launching the original wear brand "FACTORY."

Starting with just one sewing machine, the brand gradually grew as more members joined, continuing to create clothing tailored to customers' bodies. By 1990, the desire for more originality led them to seek materials overseas and establish a dyeing workshop. Despite its small size, the brand has maintained a commitment to quality clothing, leading to the current model of creation where planning, material development, manufacturing, and production are all handled in-house.

All design patterns for FACTORY are created in a design studio in Tokyo. Staff with experience in collection brands and practical pattern making create shapes through three-dimensional cutting, and after multiple rounds of sample sewing, unique garments emerge that are "not bound by trends and comfortable to wear" and "simple yet a bit unique." Based on these patterns, clothing is produced at their own factory located in Ashikaga City, Tochigi Prefecture. They take pride in not only cutting and sewing but also in dyeing both products and raw materials at their attached dyeing factory. This dedication to craftsmanship reflects the historical significance of Ashikaga as a region skilled in textile manufacturing, infusing the garments with a unique sense of place.
