The hot water bottle from LAPUAN KANKURIT features a product from the renowned German manufacturer, Fashy, paired with a 100% wool cover that provides warmth, making it a strong ally during winter. The hot water bottle, designed with a focus on safety and durability, is made using a seamless molding process, eliminating worries about bottle breakage. It also features a special screw cap that ensures high airtightness, preventing any leaks.
The hot water bottle is made from soft materials, allowing it to easily conform to your body. Whether placed at your feet or on your stomach, it won't be intrusive. You can use it not only while sleeping but also during your time in the living room, such as while reading. Additionally, in summer, you can remove the cover and use it as an ice pillow, making it a versatile item for year-round use. After use, the bottle has a hole that allows you to hang it with an S-hook after removing the cap, ensuring it dries thoroughly. There is also a hook at the top of the bottle for easy storage when not in use.
Inherited Craftsmanship
About 100 years ago, LAPUAN KANKURIT was born in the small town of Lapu, located in northwestern Finland, with a population of around 15,000. Lapu has a rich history of small local factories, thriving in woodworking and textiles. LAPUAN KANKURIT has inherited various manufacturing know-how over generations, expanding from spinning wool to introducing jacquard weaving and producing blankets for the military, growing into a large weaving factory with around 200 employees. In 1973, LAPUAN KANKURIT was established as a textile company, emerging from these weaving factories.
Crafting to Enrich People's Lives
LAPUAN KANKURIT's wool products come in two types: felt products made from brushed fabric and jacquard woven items. The yarn is dyed in original colors and slowly woven into patterns using jacquard machines. The unique way the edges of the blankets are folded requires meticulous attention, and if a thread breaks, human intervention is necessary, making it a labor-intensive product that is not suited for mass production. The unwavering commitment to "creating quality products" is reflected in the craftsmanship and warmth of the people involved, resulting in products that are passed down through generations.
LAPUAN KANKURIT is dedicated not only to sewing techniques but also to the materials used. Their wool materials meet the stringent Ecotex standards, proving they do not contain harmful substances, making them safe for those with sensitive skin. Furthermore, they are the only manufacturer in the Nordic region to receive the "Master of Linen" certification for their linen products. They carefully select materials, importing soft linen from South America and sturdier products from New Zealand and other Nordic countries, ensuring optimal linen choices for various uses. They have even developed their own weaving machines to achieve beautifully woven fabric edges.
By maintaining consistent production in their own factory, LAPUAN KANKURIT is able to offer products at reasonable prices, reflecting their commitment to enhancing everyday life. For four generations, their dedication to quality craftsmanship has resulted in products that you will want to use for a long time.

「ラプアの織り手たち」を意味するLAPUAN KANKURIT(ラプアンカンクリ)。
