The cotton used for the upper material is organic cotton grown in northern Brazil, and is sourced from producers in the northern Brazilian state of Ceara in accordance with Fair Trade rules. There are areas in Ceara that are vulnerable and suffer from thinning. Fair trade purchases from 320 small organic cotton growers in the area.
