Using yak hair that has withstood the cold

This sweater uses yak hair that grows in the frigid cold of the Bayankhongor region of Mongolia. This yak hair is a rare one that can collect only 20 kg from 100 kg of raw hair. It is a material that has unique elasticity and softness, and has a fluffy finish due to the crimping process. Yak hair, a type of cow that lives in highlands such as Tibet and Mongolia, is a highly rare natural material that has been attracting attention among the world's top maisons in recent years as a high-class material comparable to cashmere. .. The brand FACTORY has set up its own factory in Mongolia for knit manufacturing, takes time to obtain good yarn, performs strict selection on its own, and performs carding (hair shaping).

A unique atmosphere created by your own hands

The predecessor of the brand is a boutique that started in 1978. Originally it started from a store that sells purchased clothes, but in 1983 it changed to a policy of manufacturing all products in-house, built a factory behind the store, and developed original wear brand "FACTORY" (Factory) "has started.

The brand started from a single sewing machine, and the number of friends has increased, and in 1990, as we continued to make clothes that fit the customer's body, we went abroad in search of materials to create more original products. He started to go out and established a dyeing workshop. We continued to make small but discerning clothes, and created a form of creation in which we handle all of the current planning, material development, manufacturing, and production by ourselves.

All such FACTORY design patterns are created in the Tokyo design atelier.
