Chausser produces shoes with a classical shape, as if they depict a character in a fairy tale. That is because Chausser's shoes are made by the designer's hand based on the images in the painting of American painter, Norman Rockwell.

Double monk strap shoes are generally designed based on military boots. Perhaps because of that, you might get some impression that usually men wear shoes with suits. Chausser has created such double monk strap shoes with a thin buckle and a delicate medallion in the toes to make them look elegant when worn by women. Combined with the heels, it has a beautiful silhouette that makes you fascinate from the front, side, and back.

Even though it is a leather shoe, it is the goodness of shoes that chausser deals with that it fits nicely when you try it on. Double monk strap shoes also wrap your feet gently and support walking as usual. The two attached straps have elastic on the back so they are elastic, making them easy to take off and put on. The brand was launched by designer and owner Yoichi Maeda. Influenced by his father, a bespoke shoemaker, he had an admiration for making shoes from an early age, and was early in the shoe industry. Through various jobs to bring shoes to people, I will participate in planning and learn to make shoes. The shoe maker chausser was created through such numerous experiences. The brand name is French and means "wear". Based in Tokyo, it is currently deployed in 7 countries around the world. Thirty years later, when I look at chausser shoes at a second-hand store, I want to make universal shoes that are relevant to the times and that people want to wear. And I want to aim for "shoes that can be worn for 30 years" if they are properly maintained. With that in mind, I aim to make shoes that I want to wear all the time.

Chausser shoes are not made for mass production. Shoes with warmth and respect that are not found in mass-produced products. Even after leaving the hand of a craftsman, as the time goes by with the person who wears it, the taste increases in layers and eventually sublimates into a unique existence. That may be the charm of chausser shoes.
