Another year has flown by, and the cold season is upon us once again. On truly wintry days with a biting wind, you want to bundle up properly to stay warm—but layering on too many clothes can leave you feeling restricted and uncomfortable. The Knit-Sewn Hoodie and Knit-Sewn Pants are tailored from the same material. Of course, you can wear the top or bottom on their own, but we also recommend pairing them together as a set. This lightweight, easy-to-move-in knit-sewn fabric works wonderfully not only around the house, but also as outerwear for spending a relaxed day out and about.

Made with wool from the harsh cold of Hokkaido.

For this series, we used 100% domestic wool spun in Japan from fleece taken from sheep raised in Hokkaido. This purely Japanese-made wool is an environmentally friendly material, hand-washed and sun-dried, and its rarity and distinctive texture are part of its appeal. It also offers excellent insulation, holding in body heat so that you gradually warm up the longer you wear it.

This is wool born in the harsh cold of Hokkaido—a material that seems to bring to mind the region's rich natural scenery.

A tightly packed knit means lightweight warmth.

The material is a wool-cotton blend. Knitted with tightly packed stitches to make the most of the fabric's natural warmth, this double-face fabric offers excellent heat retention. Because it is knitted somewhat densely, it doesn't let wind through easily, protecting you from the cold without the need for heavy layering. What's more, the dense knit gives the fabric stability, so it resists stretching out of shape even with repeated wear—a welcome benefit.

Hokkaido Wool Knit-Sewn Hoodie (NAVY)

The hoodie has a relaxed, roomy overall fit that's comfortable to wear, making it just as suitable for a day spent at home as for heading outside. With extra room in the body width, you can layer an inner garment underneath without feeling bulky, and still move freely. The hem also has a front-to-back difference in length, and slits at both sides give the silhouette a clean, streamlined look.

The hood itself is single-layered for a light, easy wearing feel, while still having just the right amount of three-dimensional shape for a charming impression. We took care to balance comfortable wearability with a beautiful silhouette.

Hokkaido Wool Knit-Sewn Pants (BROWN)

We've woven small touches throughout the Knit-Sewn Pants so you can wear them comfortably. While ordinary pants typically have a side seam, the Hokkaido Wool Knit-Sewn Pants intentionally eliminate the side seams and instead join the fabric front to back. We also incorporated a straddle double-needle stitch so this seam stands out three-dimensionally, which increases durability while also giving the design a stylish impression.

We also incorporated a wide inner lining, extending down to about the knee, to help reduce the "itchiness of wool" that many customers have told us they're concerned about.

With their light wearing feel and a waist that can be adjusted with both an all-around elastic band and a drawstring, these are Knit-Sewn Pants that work equally well for going out and for relaxing at home.
