Now that May has arrived, the fresh greenery is shining brighter than ever. As we start to feel hints of summer approaching, ZUTTO has begun selling the Highly Twisted Cotton Jersey Camisole, created through a thorough pursuit of comfortable wearability. This is an original 100% cotton camisole we'd love to recommend for the coming season.

Innerwear that touches the skin directly has a direct impact on how comfortable and pleasant your day feels, and it's clothing worn both on and off duty. Based on the opinions and feedback we regularly receive from customers, we pursued comfort as thoroughly as possible in order to address the "concerns" people have when wearing such items. The result is this original camisole, made with the goal of being "innerwear you can wear comfortably." We finished it with a design that's easy to wear regardless of the season.

What Does "Comfortable to Wear" Really Mean?

So what exactly do "comfortable" and "pleasant to wear" mean in concrete terms? In creating the Highly Twisted Cotton Jersey Camisole, ZUTTO pursued comfort with a focus on these four points.

・So that even those with sensitive skin can wear it comfortably, the side seams have been eliminated and the tag is designed to be easy to cut off.

・Since the fabric has stretch, you can wear it relaxed without feeling constricted.

・Even with long-term wear, the material resists fuzzing and pilling.

・The highly twisted cotton releases smoothly from the skin, giving a cool, refreshing feeling when worn.

■ A Design That's Easy to Choose Even for Those with Sensitive Skin

Many camisoles have seams at the sides, but when you actually wear them, this area can surprisingly bother you with its bulky feel. The Highly Twisted Cotton Jersey Camisole has been tailored to eliminate this discomfort by reducing the seam to just one location on the back and flattening the seam allowance, so it can be worn in comfort.

The shoulder straps are also flat, using a gentle fabric that won't cause discomfort even when it touches the skin.

Even the care label is sewn on in a way that makes it easy to remove, showing how much attention to detail went into reducing every possible source of discomfort during wear.

The material is a highly stretchable jersey fabric. Because of this, you can wear it relaxed with no feeling of tightness. It's a camisole you'll surely want to reach for not only on days you go out, but also on days you spend at home.

■ A Material That Resists Fuzzing and Pilling Even with Long-Term Wear

When you think of cotton innerwear, you might imagine something soft and fluffy, but this fabric has a dry touch and a cool feel. For innerwear that gets washed frequently and worn every day, ease of care matters a great deal too. This camisole can be machine washed (please use a gentle cycle such as a delicates setting, turn the garment inside out, and place it in a laundry net).

■ A "Cool Sensation" You'll Want Even in the Height of Summer

The fabric we chose this time is a jersey material made from skin-friendly cotton finished with a highly twisted process, giving it a dry touch and a cool feel. "Highly twisted finish" or "highly twisted cotton" refers to fabric made from yarn twisted more tightly than usual, giving it excellent durability, water absorption, and quick-drying properties. And jersey material, often used for cut-and-sew tops and T-shirts, has stretch and provides a comfortable, well-fitted feel against the body.

What's more, the single biggest reason this camisole is easy to choose for the coming season is its cooling touch. It feels cool the instant you put it on, making it an easy choice even on hot days when you don't want to layer up. And while cotton may bring to mind something plump and soft, touching this fabric will surprise you with how smoothly it releases from the skin and how dry it feels—while still retaining the gentle touch that's characteristic of cotton.

We're now offering a clothing alteration service at ZUTTO.

Up until now, whenever a customer's beloved item broke, we've worked as closely as possible with the maker to arrange a repair process. When it came to clothing, however, we hadn't yet reached the point of offering a ZUTTO original service. But with the addition of an in-house atelier dedicated to clothing production, we're now able to offer "clothing alterations and repairs," and have decided to launch this as a paid service for our customers.

"I'd like the hem of the skirt I bought shortened by 3cm."

"There's a hole in a knit item I own, and I'd like it darned."

"I'd like the hem of my denim pants taken up while preserving the aging on the hem as it is."

We accept requests like these for mending and altering clothing. Of course this includes items purchased at ZUTTO, but we will also do our best to accept items purchased at other shops as well.
