The material is "vintage umanuno." When you touch it, you can feel both its sturdy, substantial firmness and the pleasant feel of cotton. The surface of the fabric has a matte texture with a faint fuzziness, yet it has body and is lightweight, so it doesn't cling to the skin in hot weather. Its rather dry touch also makes these pants a great choice for the height of summer.

On our 156cm-tall staff member, the length was just right. For those around 155cm, many pants need to be altered before they fit properly, so this perfect fit—no need to fold the hem—is a real pleasure. Since the color palette is understated, pairing them with colorful socks on chilly days is a fun and cute option. They have a casual vintage feel without being too dressed up, so it's also nice to intentionally pair them with a neat shirt, or go all-out casual with a military-style bag for an outing.

The name of the Vintage Umanuno Hem Dart Tuck Pants comes from "umanuno," the fabric traditionally placed between a saddle and a horse's back to keep the rider from slipping off during horseback riding. Woven in an extremely dense plain weave, it's known for its excellent durability, and its sturdiness means you can confidently care for it by machine washing in a laundry net. Vintage umanuno is this same fabric given a naturally washed, vintage-style finish. It has a pleasant texture that feels comfortable against the skin from the very first wear.
