August is already halfway through. Before we know it, autumn clothing has started appearing in stores, and it's a season when we find ourselves looking forward to what's next. The new ZUTTO original item we'd like to introduce is a 100% cotton brushed-back pullover. Pick one up before the seasons shift, and you won't be caught off guard when it suddenly turns cool.

Aiming for a pullover that's easy to layer.

Every year, once Obon has passed, our thoughts start turning to the next season—what to wear come autumn. It's precisely during this time of unpredictable temperatures that having "easy-to-layer clothing" comes in handy. Depending on what you wear underneath, it can be worn regardless of season, and it's also useful for regulating body temperature when traveling in autumn, when the difference between morning and evening temperatures can be so pronounced. With the hope that it could be worn often, in many different scenes, we designed this pullover to be easy to layer.

Height 162cm

For an easy-to-layer fit, the body width is generously sized for a relaxed silhouette. We made the neckline wide so that it pairs easily with the Long Sleeve Layered T-Shirt, which went on sale slightly earlier.

Another detail we focused on, so that the pullover looks neat when layered, is avoiding a "ribbed" design. Many pullovers have ribbed cuffs and hems, but this can cause the cuffs and hem of the inner layer to bunch up and look untidy. To avoid this, we chose this shape instead.

"My first impression when I put it on was 'this is really roomy'—especially the body width. It feels like your body is floating inside the garment, which makes it easy to move around in. The length, meanwhile, is just right—long enough that a layered inner piece peeks out nicely.

The fabric has some thickness to it, so it doesn't cling to the body's lines. It has a dry, slightly rough texture—not the 'soft and fluffy' feel you might picture when you hear 'brushed-back fabric,' but more of a sturdy feel you can wear hard, like a heavyweight sweatshirt. That said, it's not too stiff, so you won't feel any stiffness while wearing it."

"KINARI is a cream color that's easy on the skin and suits everyone—a truly versatile shade. It's also the color where the nep texture stands out most clearly."

"For RED, I think it's close to imagining a vermilion shade! It has an orange tinge that makes your complexion look brighter."

Since the lining isn't brushed, it can be worn across a wide range of seasons.
