There's a unique value that seems to reside in the word "vintage" — one born through the passage of time. This tuck flare skirt was created with the aim of embodying that timeless appeal.

Making the skirt began with choosing the fabric. We carefully selected material from "COLLECT," the textile division of Japan Blue Co., Ltd. — a company known for its solid craftsmanship, handling brands such as SETTO, which we also carry at ZUTTO, and the denim brand MOMOTARO JEANS.

Cotton satin is a special material that develops more character the longer you wear it, growing softer with each wear and offering an ever-changing sheen to enjoy. With an expression that combines toughness and elegance, it will develop a patina uniquely your own through daily wear.

This cotton satin, with its distinctive texture, draws inspiration from military flight jackets. Its appeal lies in the solid strength created by twisting together three strands of 60-count thread, along with the refined look that comes from the thread's uniform thickness.

Hearing "military flight jacket" might bring to mind something masculine or casual, but this fabric retains the toughness of a flight jacket while adding the elegant sheen of satin. When translated into the skirt's design, it results in a special fabric that feels casual yet carries a certain sense of refinement.

This just-right firmness beautifully accentuates the front tucks, creating an ideal flare silhouette.

Because this is a garment meant to be part of everyday life, we were committed to achieving both beauty and practicality.

The gathers created by the elastic at the back waistband sway gracefully with movement, offering an expression different from the front. Using elastic in part of the design makes the skirt easier to wear than it appears.

We've placed a back slit for ease of movement and seamless pockets that don't disrupt the silhouette.

The waist area is slim and streamlined, but the elastic at the back means there's no feeling of tightness when sitting — that's the appeal. Even in a long length, the slit allows for good ease of movement, making it suitable for active outings as well.
