What matters most as the seasons change is comfort and versatility. ZUTTO is proud to introduce a skirt and shirt dress made from lightweight 8-ounce denim. Here are two new items that let you enjoy a spring-like look while freely coordinating your outfit to suit the day's temperature and your mood.

For this collection, we chose a lightweight 8oz denim fabric.

We prioritized comfort and selected a fabric with a gentle softness.

The washer-processed, yarn-dyed denim has just the right amount of body while still feeling soft against the skin, making it comfortable to wear through spring and summer.

This denim fabric is produced by a long-established denim maker with over 40 years of history. Woven at a factory in Kojima, Okayama, this carefully crafted denim uses yarn with few slubs, resulting in a finish that lets you feel the suppleness unique to high-quality cotton.

What's more, the washer processing gives the fabric a soft, richly textured feel despite its thickness. It's a piece that grows more comfortable the more you wear it, and lets you enjoy the changes that come with time.

What does "ounce (oz)," the unit indicating denim thickness, actually mean?

Ounce (oz) is a unit that expresses the weight of fabric per square meter—the smaller the number, the lighter the fabric, and the larger the number, the thicker it is.

Generally speaking,

Under 10oz: "Light ounce" → Light, soft, and comfortable to wear

10–15oz: "Regular ounce" → Has the sturdy feel characteristic of denim

15oz and above: "Heavy ounce" → Thick and rugged in texture

The 8oz denim used this time falls into the light-ounce category, a fabric that showcases the natural softness of cotton. Its appeal lies in being something you can wear and love for a long time, regardless of season.

Despite being thin, it molds to your body the more you wear it, and you can enjoy the fading and color changes unique to denim. Since the washing process is done after the garment is made, care at home is easy too.

While highlighting the texture of the denim, the stitching serves as an accent, giving the pieces a nicely casual impression.

The skirt length is a midi length that fully covers the knees. It also pairs well with boots.

A deep slit at the back hem adds ease of movement and a light, airy feel. The waist is fully elasticized, so there's no tight, constricted feeling, and it also tucks in neatly

Seam pockets on both sides make it convenient to keep things you'll want to reach for quickly while out, like your smartphone or earphones.

The length falls just above the ankle. Since it's not too long, it looks neat even paired with flat shoes. It has a straight silhouette, but thanks to the roomy fit around the hips and the deep back slit, I was able to move comfortably.
