This time, ZUTTO is holding a limited-time made-to-order event for rings from KISSO. As the weather warms up and short sleeves and sleeveless tops become more common, accessories with a bit of volume on the wrist and hands—like chunky bangles or oversized rings—really stand out. And with the season in mind, it's only natural to be drawn to bright colors and playful patterns. This time, we're introducing rings from KISSO that perfectly capture that summer mood.

What Is KISSO, a MADE IN FUKUI Brand?

Let's talk a little about KISSO, the brand behind the rings we're introducing today. It's a brand that has long been beloved by ZUTTO customers, known for accessories made using a material called cellulose acetate. This cellulose acetate is a resin material widely used in eyeglass frames, which makes perfect sense given that KISSO is based in Sabae, Fukui Prefecture—a region famous for eyeglass production.

The cellulose acetate (a resin derived from cotton) used by KISSO comes from Mazzucchelli, a leading Italian manufacturer. What stands out most is its transparency and vivid coloring. Unlike metal accessories, it doesn't feel cold against the skin—instead it has a gentle touch that's less likely to cause allergic reactions.

Also, even with the same resin pattern, each piece is cut from a single sheet, so the pattern that appears on each item differs depending on where it was cut from. Part of the fun is discovering, "Oh, this kind of pattern exists too!"—so enjoy these one-of-a-kind encounters.

Three shapes are available in this made-to-order event. Each has just the right amount of impact, perfect for summer hands.

From left: the square-shaped rect, the plump and easy-to-recognize round-large, and the moderately striking round-small. Oversized rings can often feel heavy to wear, but as you might guess from the material, these rings from KISSO's standard series are remarkably lightweight. We recommend choosing whichever design you like best.

Rect stands for rectangle. With its jewel-like square cut, this design offers both volume and presence.

Among the three round, cute-looking shapes, small is the relatively slim and refined option. It's a great choice for those who usually wear delicate rings but want to try something more eye-catching for summer.

The distinctive sense of depth created by the layering of various colors comes from KISSO's own bonding technique, with each piece crafted individually by artisans. Whatever the design or color, you'll find the transparency and vivid brilliance unique to KISSO's cellulose acetate. This made-to-order event offers an especially rich range of designs and colors.

The base is clear, with a pattern like white marble running randomly in a vertical direction. It blends nicely with the skin.

A color and pattern like polished marble. With no transparency, it gives a chic impression.

checker brown

Just like foreign caramel candy. A skin-friendly brown with a white check pattern.

clear stripe red

A clear base with striking red stripes. Perfect for a gorgeous accent.

clear stripe blue

A refreshing, candy-like clear base with a blue stripe pattern.

marine blue

A unique design with overlapping colors and patterns, reminiscent of summer festival water balloons or bouncy balls.

Wear rings and bangles together

Staff tested the ring sizing

This time's rings are available in three sizes: 【Size 13, Size 15, and Size 17】. Since these rings have volume and a thicker band, we recommend choosing a size larger than usual. So our staff actually tried them on to check which size works best on which finger.

Staff M

Usual size: Thicker knuckles. A thin metal ring in size 10 fits perfectly (right ring finger). Height for reference: 158cm

"All three types could basically be worn at the same size. For the right hand, it's as shown in the diagram above, but since the left hand is a bit slimmer, size 13 fits perfectly on the left middle finger, and size 15 on the left index finger. For the rect and round-large styles, which have a plumper ring body, size 17 is a bit large, but since a smaller size can sometimes get stuck at the knuckle, we chose these sizes."

Staff S

Usual size: Usual ring size 10 (right ring finger), height for reference: 157cm

"The sizing for the right hand is as shown above. Since the left hand is a bit slimmer, size 13 fit perfectly on the left middle finger and size 15 on the index finger for all three types. Size 17 was too large for all of them—with the round-small, it was even big enough to fit on the thumb."

Staff K

Usual size: A thin metal ring is size 12 on the ring finger. Height for reference: 168cm

"My hands are on the larger side, but my knuckles are relatively small in comparison. On the left hand, size 13 or 15 worked for the ring finger with round-small and round-large, while size 17 seemed better for the middle and index fingers."
