What is hand-spun thread?

Hand-spun thread, gently spun by human hands. As the name suggests, hand-spinning is a technique in which thread is spun by hand using a spinning wheel rather than a machine. This method has been passed down unchanged for thousands of years, and hand-spinning—removing the seeds, carding the cotton, and evening it out before spinning—is a process that requires effort, patience, and skill.
