Spring with KLIPPAN

The chenille cotton blankets from KLIPPAN, which brighten up
ZUTTO's spring and summer lineup every year.

We'd like to introduce the 2015 SS collection
featuring collaboration blankets with minä perhonen and Lisa Larson.

This spring once again, blankets born from a collaboration between
KLIPPAN and minä perhonen, along with
Lisa Larson, have arrived.

This marks the fourth season that ZUTTO has carried these special blankets,
and with the addition of the KLIPPAN BABY & KIDS collection,
we're bringing you new ways to use them and a fresh breath of spring air.

■WOOD BIRDS (by Lisa Larson)

This design was also well received in the 2014AW collection.
It's a reissue based on the 1960s work "Fåglar,"
and its delicate pattern is truly charming.

■CHOUCHO (by minä perhonen)

The butterfly pattern that could be called minä perhonen's very identity.
This season we're introducing it in three colors:
light blue, baby pink, and lime green.

Organic cotton blankets are recommended
not just for adults, but for children too.
It's easy to see why they're also popular as gifts for newborns.

Even if your child gets it dirty while using it,
you can wash the whole thing at home, so there's no need to worry.
It's great as a nap-time blanket, of course,
but it's also nice to lay it on the floor
like a play mat in a child's room.

By the way, in this photo,
the blue and pink ones are actually shown with the reverse side facing up.
The front has butterflies drawn in white on the base color,
but since it's double-faced and the colors reverse when flipped over,
it's lovely to change the look depending on your mood by switching between front and back.

A spring holiday with nothing planned.
Listening to your favorite music,
wrapping yourself in a soft, gentle-to-the-touch blanket,
and drifting off into a nap… that sounds like a wonderful plan.

The half-size blanket is convenient to use—
fold it in half for a lap blanket,
or spread it out for a nap-time blanket.

Sometimes I think I'll sit down properly
and write a handwritten greeting letter,
and as I settle at my desk, my feet start to feel cold.
The wool blanket is already tucked away in the closet…

At the turning of the seasons, the inside of a room
still often feels a bit chilly—
not quite enough to pull out the wool blanket, but still cold enough to notice.
That's exactly when a cotton blanket comes in handy.

Originally, we began introducing the chenille cotton blanket
as a spring and summer item, but in fact, from around October to February,
we receive a great many orders for it as well.
It's a reliable ally for those moments when it's "just a little cold."

minä perhonen designer.
"minä" means "I," and "perhonen" means "butterfly,"
embodying a wish to create designs as light and graceful
as a butterfly's beautiful wings.

A ceramic artist born in Hörlunda, Sweden.
Scouted by Stig Lindberg,
she worked at the Gustavsberg pottery studio from 1954 to 1980.
Many of her most celebrated works were created during her time at Gustavsberg.
