A custom handle that allows you to customize the original textile hatsutoki parasols made in Nishiwaki (Hyogo), which is rich in nature, to your liking. We have prepared acrylic handles, bamboo bangles, and one-of-a-kind hand-carved handles originally made by woodworking craftsman Yozo Tanaka. Please choose your favorite umbrella and handle and find the best combination. The best combination you and a craftsman will surely make you a favorite and will be active for a long time.
Umbrella-like silhouette, acrylic
Tortoiseshell acrylic handle. The translucent resin has a light texture and has a cool charm unlike the wooden handle, so it goes well with parasols. It is natural to match with blue patterns and similar color patterns, and it goes well with dark men's-like fabrics. Even though it is a classic silhouette, the unusual bekko color is eye-catching, and it changes into an umbrella that is a bit different from usual.
Elegant bamboo bangle
A bamboo bangle that gives a feminine and elegant impression with a summer-like bamboo handle and a bangle of the same material shaped into a ring. The texture of bamboo is summery and is perfect for parasols. Bamboo fits naturally in your hand, so it's easy to hold, and it's safe to hold it in your hand, not to mention holding an umbrella. It goes well with any pattern, so if you get lost, please choose one.
Hand-carved seed that feels warm
Ono City, Hyogo Prefecture, which is rich in nature. There is an atelier called "Koubou Eram" in such a place. It is run by a married couple, and the husband Yozo Tanaka made a "wooden vessel" and his wife Masako Tanaka made a "plant dyeing and hand-woven" work by herself using old materials. It is produced in the atelier. A lot of piled wood in the atelier. Hand-carved seed that carves such wood with Mr. Tanaka's free ideas. The steadily hand-dug handles have a warmth that reveals Mr. Tanaka's personality, and the distorted irregularities fit comfortably in his hands. It is made by a technique called a sword, which is finished only with planes and fleas. Scratches and knots are left on purpose so that you can enjoy the natural patterns and colors of the wood.
New possibilities for Banshu textiles
hatsutoki is a textile brand called Banshu textiles. Banshu woven fabric is a thin woven fabric centered on cotton that has a history of more than 200 years in the Kita-Harima district of Hyogo prefecture. It is a production area that has 80%. Yarn-dyed woven fabrics are dyed in various colors and then woven, so they have the characteristic of being able to create various patterns, and we specialize in the production of shirt fabrics centered on checks, stripes, borders, and chambray. Weaving is often produced in places where large rivers flow and are blessed with abundant water, but in Nishiwaki City, where the dough for hatsutoki is born, the Kakogawa, a first-class river, also flows. The abundant water creates the beauty of the coloring of the woven fabric and brings out the color that can only be expressed there.
Hatsutoki was born from the idea that "I want to unravel the cloth of Banshu textiles and convey the impression of touching it for the first time." In response to the current situation where uniformed clothes are overflowing in the market in pursuit of trends, I want to convey the wonderfulness of Banshu textiles that are comfortable to the skin while telling what kind of feelings, where and how they are made. Shimada Weaving Co., Ltd., which manufactures hatsutoki, has been working with craftsmen for dyeing (thread dyeing), diameter making (thread preparation), weaving (weaving), and finishing (texture) in Banshu textiles for 80 years. However, we have just created "good things" together.
Make full use of the technology cultivated in the production area
hatsutoki uses specially fine threads to create clothes with delicate colors, bold colors, and fabrics that are particular about the texture. Is realized. It is the 100th single yarn that hatsutoki is good at that makes it possible to melt. Considering that ordinary casual shirts are usually 40-60th, you can imagine how thin and delicate 100th is. And it is not a "double thread" that twists two threads into one, but a "single thread" that uses one thread, which further enhances the high technical capabilities of hatsutoki. You can see. Since the 100th single yarn is extremely fine, it cannot be dyed at any dyeing factory, and it has a unique technique established through many years of collaboration with local craftsmen.

"Hatsutoki (Hatsutoki)" was born with the idea that "I want to release the fabric of the Banshu fabric and convey the impression of touching it for the first time." hatsutoki uses specially thin threads to make clothes with delicate colors, bold color expressions, and fabrics that are particular about texture, and realizes a pleasant touch with a melting texture that does not seem like cotton. You When touching for the first time, it feels like it's really cotton?
A design that is inspired by the basics of “wonderful basic,” which is based on the premise that it is universal and long-lasting products, and the natural landscape, colors and sounds of the surrounding area. I feel limitless possibilities.
