hatsutoki is a textile brand called Banshu textiles. Weaving is often produced in places where large rivers flow and are blessed with abundant water, but in Nishiwaki City, where the dough for hatsutoki is born, the Kakogawa, a first-class river, also flows. The abundant water creates the beauty of the coloring of the woven fabric and brings out the color that can only be expressed there.

Hatsutoki was born from the idea that "I want to unravel the cloth of Banshu textiles and convey the impression of touching it for the first time."
