5/8 STUDIOS creates simple and sophisticated jewelry with the concept of "salt and pepper to add style." It is a jewelry brand created by a Japanese female designer who has been active in New York, and is a brand that fits your everyday style 365 days a year.

The collection includes a wide variety of items, including ear cuffs, rings, bracelets, and earrings. This time, we will introduce some of the most popular items. Since they cannot be mass-produced, they will be made in the form of an order meeting, and only the amount ordered will be made.

These earrings are designed to highlight their delicate beauty whenever they receive light. We offer two types: a 0.6mm thin, minimalist hoop and a clip shape. We have put a lot of thought into the angle of the slight curve, so that they shine subtly on your ears. In addition, we have added some ingenuity to the clasp, which is usually treated as an inconspicuous presence, so that they look beautiful from any angle.

Jewelry is a special thing for many people. That is why 5/8 STUDIOS wants to give the materials a deep meaning. With that in mind, we use "Refine Metal". The quality and origin of the silver and gold used in jewelry is often unclear. Therefore, 5/8 STUDIOS uses materials that have been rigorously certified by the Japan Refine Metal Association.

Refine Metal is a precious metal extracted from used mobile phones and computers that has been recycled into the highest quality jewelry. We value the cycle in which tools that have supported our lives are reborn in new forms and become part of our daily lives again. Now that environmental consideration is becoming a common value in the fashion world, 5/8 STUDIOS is not just aiming to create eco-friendly products. In addition to being sustainable, we are committed to long-loved designs and reliable manufacturing methods to create jewelry that brings out the individuality of the wearer.

Like salt and pepper on food

5/8 STUDIOS started in 2020 in a room in a New York apartment, making samples. Designer Fuki Sakai says that while designing clothes and accessories for apparel brands in New York and Tokyo, she realized how important the finishing touches are to styling. Whether or not you wear jewelry can make a surprising difference in the impression of your outfit. For example, a rough style of T-shirt and jeans can be made much more sophisticated by adding a piece of jewelry and pairing it with high-quality shoes and a leather bag. Just like salt and pepper to finish off a dish, jewelry adds the final spoonful of spice to your outfit.

However, there are surprisingly few ideal pieces of jewelry in the world that can fulfill such a role. This feeling was what prompted me to launch the brand.

While continuing to create and learn techniques at a jewelry studio in New York, I started to receive requests to purchase my jewelry, and so I started a full-fledged brand. Having experience designing clothes and accessories, I became convinced that jewelry is not just an accessory, but is like "salt and pepper" that accompanies, enhances, and brings harmony to fashion. Jewelry is an extension of fashion design, craftsmanship, and everyday life. It blends in with each style and brings out individuality. I create such practical and contemporary designs.
