This 10.5 oz pure indigo-dyed denim is an original material developed exclusively by FOB. The natural unevenness created by weaving in waste cotton and scattered neps throughout the fabric create a look reminiscent of vintage denim. The gray weft allows for a richer color change with wear. The fabric is dyed in multiple layers of pale indigo blue, developing a unique look over time. The lining is made of a wool-blend striped blanket fabric with excellent heat retention, making it a reliable companion for cold weather. The body lining is not completely sewn in, allowing for airflow for a comfortable, non-stuffy fit. The wide-ribbed corduroy collar adds a warmth to the design, both visually and tactilely. Corduroy is also hidden inside the cuffs for added comfort. The small watch pocket at the chest is a striking design detail that goes beyond its intended purpose of holding a pocket watch. Kojima, a textile town located at the southern tip of Okayama Prefecture, is a world-class denim production center. FOB FACTORY started its activities in 1992, making clothes with the cooperation of local people. After experiencing various denim booms, such as Levi's, the second-hand clothes boom, and the emergence of many imported denim brands, we have created clothes that are not just what they seem, but are ones that you will be glad you bought two or three years after wearing them. I came up with the idea that I want to have a positive impact on the lives of the people who wear it with the clothes I make. Craftsmanship made in Japan denim. We create products by focusing on what we think is really good, such as thread, fabric, sewing, buttons and zippers. It seems that designs are born naturally and inevitably by making use of the developed fabrics and techniques of each, and by considering the wearer's body and lifestyle.
